The common foundation (Years 1–2) is truly identical — all 15 programs cover Programming, DSA, OOP, OS, DBMS, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, and Design of Algorithms. All programs under the School of Computing at SRMIST share the same Regulations 2018 structure for basic sciences and engineering core subjects. SRM Video
The key differentiators in Years 3–4 are:
Deep Learning and Computer Vision are exclusive to CSE–AI&ML and B.Tech AI
Ethical Hacking and Digital Forensics appear only in Cybersecurity (and partially in DevSecOps)
Hadoop/Spark is a core elective only in Data Science and Big Data Analytics
Blockchain architecture is completely unique to the Blockchain specialization
The IoT program specifically covers IoT architecture, IoT protocols, wireless networking, and edge/fog computing — hardware-adjacent topics absent from all other tracks SRMIST
CSBS (TCS) stands apart by emphasizing managerial skills and business decision-making alongside computation, making it the only program with formal business analytics modules SRMIST
DevSecOps is the newest program, designed to integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle — it overlaps with both Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing but is distinct in its DevOps-first framing
